Lyndsay is everyone’s go to girl. She is a helper through and through, a “yes” girl whenever she is needed. This desire to help and love everyone as much as she possibly can is expressed in the center of this tattoo with a small cursive “y”. It is an intrinsic part of who she is. In favor of her own personal growth and well-being she’s learning that she can (and that it’s more than OK) to just say “no” sometimes. The two wavy lines signify Lyndsay’s love of the water, nature, the stars and being outdoors. They also mimic the symbol of her zodiac sign. Aquarius, The Water Bearer is continuously pouring water from her jar. Constantly giving.

The two hearts on the left represent her husband and partner in crime Dan. Their hearts connected early on in their relationship, tied together by love, faith and a guardian angel.

The arrow jutting upward signifies their youngest daughter Anna. She is adventurous, determined and stubborn. She tends to roll with and chase the boys. She is a force.

The curved line that is connected to the “y” embodies their middle child, Emma. Always going with the flow. She is strong both mentally and physically and nothing really fazes her. She loves her sisters equally and loves the outdoors.

At the bottom right of the tattoo there’s a curved line with a dot below representing their firstborn, Avery. She is loving, sensitive, dramatic and artistic. This symbol is a musical note called a ‘fermata’. It means that the note should be prolonged beyond the normal duration than its value would indicate. This acknowledges both her love of music and her big sensitive heart.

The droplet at the bottom of the design emulates family, as family is extremely important to Lyndsay. Her father taught her that “blood is thicker than water” coming from close knit family herself she has cultivated a similar bond in the family that she and Dan have created together.
